Wood hot tubs hold up well in these wet conditions, wood such as cedar and redwood being the preferable options – usually such woods being found on the west coast & in the US & Canadian northwest.
Our Cedar Hot Tubs are the ultimate relaxation experience matched with the elegance of Canadian handcrafted cedar.

MADE FROM TOP QUALITY CANADIAN RED CEDAR
Our Electric Tubs are made of top quality Canadian Red Cedar which is a close cousin to the traditional cypress wood used in Japan. Red Cedar has the distinct advantage of being naturally resilient to decay and bacteria. It also is known for its high insulating value. The pleasant aromatherapy of cedar heightens the experience! Our tubs use an architectural stainless steel strap system which allows the tub to naturally expand and contract with out worrying about the wood splitting.
ON-SITE ASSEMBLY PROCESS
All our hot tubs kits are designed with the DIY customer in mind. Customers with basic handyperson skills can assemble the wood hot tub body in 3-4 hours over a two-day period. We recommend spreading the assembly over two days to allow the liner “set” overnight before finishing the interior componets of the tub. A typical install would be 2 hours on Day 1, set the liner overnight and another 2 hours on Day 2. In order to assemble the main tub body, you will need a basic set of tools including a level, a measuring tape, a Phillips-head driver drill, a pair of adjustable crescent wrenches, vise grips, and a mallet. We also recommend having a rachet strap on hand to assist with tightening the bands.
For our electric hot tubs, we recommend our customers work with a professional plumber and electrian to set up their water heating and circulation system. More experienced DIY customers have the option to plumb the system themselves, however this is a more challenging and time consuming step. Regardless of your skill level, you should always work with a licensed electrician on the electrical connection.
Starting in 2022, the hot tub liner must be used to prevent leaks. Previously, some customers chose to use their hot tub without the liner as they prefered the all-wood aesthetic. Due to a change in our stave design, tubs can no longer be used unlined. Using the tub without a liner will result in leaks.
ELECTRIC HEATER
The heater is the most efficient hot tub heater in a box. When all you need is heat, this is the most practical and user friendly unit in the industry. 5.5kW OR 11kW for new and existing applications where a full high flow free standing heater is needed. Please refer to table below for heat up times.
Our electric hot tub system (the heater and circulation pump) are individually UL listed. However, the bropool electric hot tub heating system is not UL listed as a complete kit. You should review state and local laws and building codes prior to purchasing, as your locality may require that pool and hot tub equipment be UL listed as a complete unit.
